CreditClean

In short: CreditClean keeps your financial data on your device. The free app collects nothing and sends nothing off your phone. An optional Pro feature sends only merchant names and your category names (never amounts, dates, balances, or account numbers) to our server for smarter categorization, and only after you turn it on and consent.
CreditClean is provided by TwinSystems (Canada). The person responsible for the protection of personal information (privacy officer) is Romen Poirier Taksev, reachable at twinsystemsrl@gmail.com.
All statements, transactions, categories, and settings are stored locally on your device (Apple SwiftData). There is no account or login, and the free app contains no analytics, trackers, or advertising. Nothing leaves your device.
If you subscribe to Pro and enable cloud categorization and accept the in-app
consent, the app sends only normalized merchant-name text and your category-name text
to our processing server (api.twinsystems.xyz). We never send
transaction amounts, dates, balances, account or card numbers, or person-to-person and e-transfer
names. Those are filtered on your device and categorized locally. You can turn cloud
categorization off at any time in Settings; the app then categorizes entirely on-device.
For cloud categorization, merchant text is processed by Anthropic (Claude API, United States) solely to return a category; per Anthropic's commercial terms it is not used to train models. Feedback and diagnostics you choose to send (see §8) are triaged by Anthropic and stored in our backlog tool Notion (United States). Purchases are handled by Apple. Hosting and request processing are provided by Cloudflare.
Cloud categorization and any support submissions are processed in the United States. By enabling these features you consent to your merchant/category text and submissions being transferred and processed outside Quebec and Canada.
We do not retain your transaction data on our servers. Cloud categorization is processed in the moment and not stored. Support submissions you choose to send are retained in our backlog only as long as needed to resolve them.
To confirm your subscription, the app sends Apple's signed transaction to our server, which derives an opaque, non-identifying hash solely to check entitlement. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details.
If you send feedback we receive your message and an optional reply email. If a statement doesn't import and you tap Send diagnostic, we receive a redacted structural snapshot. Transaction amounts, dates, and merchant names are removed on your device before it is sent, and it is used only to add support for that statement format. Both include basic diagnostics (app version, build, OS version, device model) and are used only to respond and improve the app.
You may access, correct, or delete your data (it lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app), and withdraw consent to cloud categorization at any time. For any privacy request or complaint, contact our privacy officer above. Quebec residents may also complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec; other Canadians to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
All network traffic uses HTTPS; we minimize what is sent and retain nothing of your financial data server-side.
CreditClean is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect information from them.
CreditClean helps you understand your own statements; it is not financial, credit, or tax advice, and does not provide credit repair.
We will update this page and its "last updated" date when our practices change.
